Tame Your ‘Wild’ Classroom with a Behavior Management System

As the school year kicks off, you may encounter obstacles with student behavior. Common issues include disruptions, lack of focus, talking out of turn, and more. These challenges can be tough to manage and can disrupt the learning process for students. But don’t fret! An effective solution is teaching and implementing a behavior management system. A good system can make or break your classroom management plan, so we’re excited to help you build that structure at the beginning of the year.

Jungle-Themed Classroom Management Plan

This resource download is a fun jungle-themed behavior display that will teach and motivate your students to improve behavior and maintain a positive environment.

Using this classroom system is a breeze! Here’s the rundown on how to implement its use.

  • Students will learn about different behavior expectations through different animal characters. Each animal represents a positive character trait that students will work to demonstrate.
  • The printable posters and discussion cards are designed as talking points and classroom display components. Use each sign to discuss each positive trait with your students, then display them individually as they are taught.
  • Set up a pocket chart for a whole class incentive or individual incentives. Determine how many points students need to reach to receive a reward.
  • Use the small animal cards to reward points to your students when they are caught showing a positive character trait. When that goal is met, give your students a small reward and fill out one of the positive behavior notes to send home to their parents.
