Skip Counting Worksheet Set — Fill in the Gaps in the Series

Check your students’ understanding of skip counting by increasing intervals of 5, 10, and 100 in number series, including 2- and 3- digit numbers. These worksheets require students to look at the number series, determine the skip counting rule, and write the missing numbers in the blank spaces.

An answer key is included with your download to make marking fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to individual student work time, use this worksheet as a:

  • Maths rotation or guided group
  • lesson exit ticket
  • fast finisher activity
  • homework assignment
  • whole-class review (via smartboard)

To make this worksheet more challenging for students,  have them make their own series on the back of their worksheet and swap with a friend to solve.

Students who need extra support may benefit from having a desk-top hundreds chart to refer to.

Easily Download & Print

Use the dropdown icon on the Download button to choose between the PDF or Google Slides version of this resource.

Because this resource includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheet for students to complete.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing it on cardboard and slipping it into a write-and-wipe sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker and then erase and reuse.

Additionally, project the worksheet onto a screen and work through it as a class by having students record their answers in their notebooks.
