Turn Geography into a fun and educational learning experience with our cut-and-paste worksheets!

Let’s Label the Continents and Oceans!

The world is a big place and students need to become familiar with it! Make the task of identifying the Earth’s continents and oceans easy with this labeling worksheet. Students label the 7 continents and 5 oceans, and in doing so, enhance their knowledge of the world and create a colourful map of our planet!

This resource is the perfect independent learning activity to enhance knowledge of world geography. It would also be great to keep in an emergency relief teaching folder. It can be used with students in a variety of year levels and with varying ability levels.

No-Prep Geography Lessons

These map labeling worksheets will be a handy addition to your Geography teaching resources.  Two different worksheets are included – one that requires students to write the names of the continents/oceans and the other that requires students to cut and paste the labels.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to independent student work time, use this worksheet as an activity for:

  • lesson warm-up
  • lesson wrap-up
  • fast finishers
  • a homework assignment
  • whole-class review (via smartboard.)
